The quality of the experience is guaranteed by the passion of the brothers Umberto and Massimo Di Lorenzo, who, with this project, have opened the doors of their Chianina breed farm and other animals, based on a genuine and natural approach, respectful of the environment, and aimed at ensuring the maximum well-being of each individual animal. All values of a rural culture expressed by a farm that will allow visitors of all ages to gain greater awareness of nature and food.
THE TERRITORY
The Podere Di Lorenzo Farm is located in the heart of Valdichiana in Tuscany, a valley of rare beauty among ancient villages and green countryside. This territory still lives on traditions and flavors that have roots dating back centuries and that resist the passing of time, with the intervention of man who has maintained the identity of the place and perfectly integrated with the environmental context.
Valdichiana, the homeland of Chianina
Every kilometer of Valdichiana is a pleasant discovery: Leopoldine and hydraulic works, Etruscan testimonies and medieval villages, vast fields of sunflowers, and Chianina breeding.
It is precisely thanks to Chianina that the valley has its international fame because this is the homeland of the world’s most famous breed of cattle for the purity of its coat, its remarkable size, and the quality of its meat. Discovering Chianina is, in many ways, equivalent to discovering the deepest identity of Valdichiana, where this animal is a symbol of gastronomy and food, a symbol of a history and culture that has roots dating back centuries, a symbol of rural life still witnessed by breeders and producers, and a symbol of sustainable tourism offered by the possibility of visiting farms and breeders.
